Safety Instructions

At Flarity Candle Company, we want you to enjoy every moment of your candle safely. Please read and follow the safety instructions below before using any of our products.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep candles away from children, pets, drafts, flammable objects, and anything that could catch fire.

WICKED CANDLES ("Flares")

​

For candles with a wick:

• Trim the wick to ¼ inch before every burn. A properly trimmed wick helps create a cleaner, more controlled flame.

• Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant, level surface before lighting.

• Keep the candle away from drafts, fans, vents, curtains, paper, and other flammable materials.

• Never leave a burning candle unattended or leave it burning while you sleep.

• Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.

• For the best results, allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface during the first burn, about 4 hours. This helps prevent tunneling.

• Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.

• Stop burning when approximately ½ inch of wax remains in the container. Do not burn the candle all the way to the bottom.

• Never move a candle while the wax is liquid or the container is hot.

• Use a snuffer or gently blow out the flame rather than using water to extinguish it.

• If the flame becomes unusually large, flickers excessively, or the container becomes extremely hot, extinguish the candle immediately and allow it to cool completely.

Never use a candle if the container is cracked, chipped, or damaged.

WAX MELTS ("Flareless")

​

Wax melts are flameless, but they still require proper care and attention.

When using wax melts in a wax warmer:

• Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for your wax warmer.

• Use wax melts only in a warmer designed specifically for wax melts.

• If you choose to put a wicked candle on a wax warmer while turned on, do not light the wick.

• Never add water to your wax warmer.

• Keep your warmer on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

• Keep the warmer away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable objects.

• Never leave a wax warmer operating unattended or while sleeping.

• Do not overfill the wax dish.

• Allow the wax to cool completely before attempting to remove it.

• Never use sharp objects to remove hardened wax, as they may damage your warmer.

• If using an electric warmer, inspect the cord and plug regularly and discontinue use if they become damaged.

When your wax melt no longer produces fragrance, allow the wax to cool and harden before removing it according to your warmer manufacturer's instructions.

Do not consume wax melts. They are for fragrance use only.

 

WICKLESS CANDLES ("Flareless")

Our wickless candles are designed to provide fragrance without an open flame. However, because they are intended to be warmed, they still require care.

• Use only with a compatible candle or wax warmer as directed by Flarity.

• Always follow the instructions provided with your warmer.

• Place the warmer on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface.

• Keep away from children, pets, drafts, and flammable materials.

• Never leave a warmer unattended or operating while sleeping.

• Do not touch or move the container while the wax is warm or melted.

• Allow the wax and container to cool completely before handling.

• Do not add water or other substances to the wax.

• Do not use a wickless candle if the container is cracked, chipped, or damaged.
